Warranties aren't much good if the business you purchase from closes down! Even if you were able to repair them yourself, where would you get replacement parts from... especially if it's an imported product.
Here at Enhance Shutters & Blinds we leave the manufacturing for the experts and we just install the finished product and supply the after sales service. The bonus in this for you is that Enhance Shutters & Blinds warrants the job AND you also have the manufacturer backing that up. The warranty card you receive includes the Australian manufacturers details so if you ever need to make a claim and Enhance Shutters & Blinds is no longer around you are still covered. Win Win!!!
General Terms & Conditions that Applies to All Internal Shutter Products:
The warranty is for the benefit of the original purchaser and is not transferable. This warranty does not cover any situation arising where damage to the shutter or window has occurred through failure to follow prescribed instructions with respect to cleaning or maintenance; nor does it cover unauthorised repairs, accidents, alterations, misuse, abuse, acts of God, motorised devices, or normal wear and tear. Cleaning instructions are supplied with the warranty card.
This warranty solely covers the replacement or repair of products panels and frames, including the removal and re-installation. It does not cover damage to anything else including (but not limited to) furniture or walls. Please remember to ensure your windows are closed in strong wind. This will avoid any damage to the shutters as well as your furniture and walls, as this is not covered by the warranty.
In addition, warranty does not apply to any panel that has been deemed outside of the product size limitations. If this clause applies to you, you will have been informed in writing prior to you placing your order. Warranty does not apply to damage, corrosion, wear, deteriorating or failure of standard components in sea coast applications or such other climates.
Here at Enhance Shutters & Blinds I sell high quality product covered by industry leading warranties. I don't dilute the warranty by including unfair get out clauses. To that effect, I have nothing to hide and I'm happy to publish my warranties below. They are at a minimum on par with my competitors, although you will find that they generally well exceed the majority of my competitors.

Thermalite Plantation Shutters Warranty
25 Year Limited Warranty on Shutter Frames & Shutter Panels:
The shutter frames and the panels of Thermalite Shutters are warranted by the Manufacturer against defects in material that might result in blistering, peeling, flaking, and corroding for a period of twenty-five (25) years from the date of installation. This Warranty shall remain in effect only if normal cleaning practices are followed periodically, as described in the warranty cleaning instructions accompanied with the Warranty card.
5 Year Limited Warranty on Shutter Hardware and all Paint:
All paint that is supplied is from reputable suppliers and is guaranteed against fading and warranted by the Manufacturer to remain in good operational condition for a period of five (5) years from the date of installation. The painted finish – will not crack, peel or yellow during this time. Thermalite Shutters can be used in wet areas.
All hardware like screws, hinges, tracks, carriers etc. is warranted for a period of 3 years against breakage and corrosion. Wet areas like bathrooms and ensuites must be fitted with stainless steel hinges for this warranty to apply to those openings.
3 Year Limited Warranty on Colour Fastness:
Paint finish should be regularly cleaned to remove dirt and grime caused by the atmosphere. Thermalite Shutters has a three (3) year warranty on colour fastness.
HP Poly PVC Shutter Warranty
25 Year Limited Structural Warranty:
The shutter frames and the panels are warranted by the Manufacturer against defects in material that might result in blistering, peeling, flaking, and corroding for a period of twenty-five (25) years from the date of installation. This Warranty shall remain in effect only if normal cleaning practices are followed periodically, as described in the Maintenance and Cleaning Instructions accompanying this Warranty.
5 Year Limited Warranty on Paint:
All paint that is supplied is from reputable suppliers and is guaranteed against fading and warranted by the Manufacturer to remain in good operational condition for a period of five (5) years from the date of installation. The painted finish – will not crack, peel or yellow during this time. HP Poly PVC shutters can be used in wet areas. Paint finish should be regularly cleaned to remove dirt and grime caused by the atmosphere.
3 Year Limited Warranty on Hardware:
All hardware like screws, hinges, tracks, carriers etc. is warranted for a period of 3 years against breakage and corrosion. Wet areas like bathrooms and ensuites must be fitted with stainless steel hinges for this warranty to apply to those openings.
HP Painted Timber Shutter Warranty
25 Year Limited Structural Warranty:
The shutter frames and the panels are warranted by the Manufacturer against defects in material that might result in blistering, peeling, flaking, cracking and corroding for a period of twenty-five (25) years from the date of installation. This Warranty shall remain in effect only if normal cleaning practices are followed periodically, as described in the Maintenance and Cleaning Instructions accompanying this Warranty.
As these shutters are made from natural timber/wood, they may show characteristics of their natural source such as grain patterns or blemishes. This gives each shutter its own unique quality and as such are not defects or grounds for warranty. Each finish used on our products is selected for its durability and quality.
There are factors that may impact the application of these paints/stains on our natural products which are not covered under warranty, these include:

Colour variations that may occur between different manufactured batches of a paint or stain finish.

Naturally occurring variations in appearance created by artificial or natural lighting.

Moisture, heat, light, exposure to weather

Environmental conditions such as pollutants, acid rain or other corrosive substances, which may impact on finishes or cause corrosion.

Damage, corrosion, wear, deteriorating or failure of standard components in sea coast applications or such other climates.

10 Year Limited Warranty on Powder Coat:
All powder coat that is supplied is from reputable suppliers and is warranted by the Manufacturer to remain in good operational condition for a period of ten (10) years from the date of installation. The powder coat finish – will not crack, peel or yellow during this time. HP Avenir Aluminium Internal shutters can be used in wet areas. Powder coat finish should be regularly cleaned to remove dirt and grime caused by the atmosphere.
5 Year Limited Warranty on Custom Finish:
A custom finish is classed as everything not deemed as a standard colours on the brochure. If you choose a custom colour and/or custom sheen level, it is classed as a Custom Finish. It is warranted by the Manufacturer to remain in good operational condition for a period of five (5) years from the date of installation. The powder coat finish – will not crack, peel or yellow during this time. HP Avenir Aluminium Internal shutters can be used in wet areas. Powder coat finish should be regularly cleaned to remove dirt and grime caused by the atmosphere.
